Your account

The Account page is eight rows in four groups.

The eight rows

Open the dashboard and choose Account in the sidebar.

In the order the page renders them.

Editing a field

Name, Email and Phone number are read-only until you click the pencil beside them. The pencil becomes a save icon, and the value is written when you click it again. Clicking save without changing anything closes the field.

Validation happens before anything is sent, and the message appears under the row:

  • Name: "Name is required".
  • Email: "Enter a valid email address", and "An account with that email already exists." if it belongs to someone else.
  • Phone number: "Enter a valid phone number (e.g. +1 555 123 4567)".

Changing your email changes the address you sign in with, in the add-in as well as the dashboard.

Turning on two-step verification

  1. 01

    Open the row

Account, then the Security group, then Set up on the Two-step verification row.

  2. 02

    Add it to your authenticator

A QR code appears: "Scan this with your authenticator app, then enter the code it shows." If the camera is not an option, Enter the key manually reveals the setup key as text.

  3. 03

    Confirm the code

Type the 6-digit code and press Turn on. Anything shorter is refused before it is sent: "Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app." A stale code comes back as "That code was not accepted. Try the next one."

  4. 04

    Save the recovery codes

A list appears under "Save these now. Each works once, and they are not shown again." Copy puts all of them on the clipboard. They are the only way back in without the authenticator.

  5. 05

    Use it

From then on, sign-in on the dashboard and in the add-in asks for a code. Enter an authenticator code or one unused recovery code.

Managing two-step afterwards

  • New recovery codes issues a fresh set. It asks for an authenticator code or an unused recovery code first, and the old set stops working.
  • Reset replaces the authenticator app. You scan the new QR, then enter a code from the new app and a code from the current one in the same dialog.
  • Turn off disables it, again after a code from the authenticator or a recovery code.

When you have spent every recovery code the row says so: "No recovery codes left. Issue a new set before you lose your authenticator." Do that before the phone is replaced, not after.

The Device group

The Device group carries one row, Activated on, showing the machine CADABRA is bound to and when it was last used, with a Release button beside it.

CADABRA runs on one machine at a time. Workstations covers the rule, the refusal you get on a second machine, and how to move.

Deleting your account

This is a button, not an email to support.

  1. Account, then the Danger zone card at the bottom, then Delete account.
  2. The dialog reads "Delete your account?" and states what happens: "This is permanent. Your subscription will be canceled, payment history detached in Stripe, and your account record removed."
  3. Type your password to confirm. The confirm button stays disabled until the field has something in it. An account that signs in through SSO has no password step and the dialog omits it.
  4. Press Delete account permanently. On success the dialog reads "Account deleted." and you are returned to the website.
