# Billing

Monthly, through Stripe, cancellable from the dashboard.

## How billing works

Checkout, card changes, and invoices all run through Stripe’s own flow, so CADABRA never handles your card details.

Everything is managed from the [Billing page](https://cadabrai.com/dashboard/billing) in the dashboard.

## Changing plans

You can change plan at any time from the dashboard. Student requires a valid academic address (.edu or an equivalent country-specific academic domain) and is licensed for non-commercial coursework; Professional is the commercial plan for an individual engineer.

Cancelling stops the renewal. You keep access for the period you have paid for.

## Extra usage

If you reach your monthly allowance on a paid plan, you can buy extra usage for the current period rather than changing plan. It is a one-off charge scoped to the billing period you are in, and it does not alter your subscription or roll over.

Top-ups have a minimum and a maximum, shown at checkout.

## If you stop

Everything CADABRA created is a native SOLIDWORKS feature and stays in the file after the add-in is gone.
